Mr. O’Malley graduated with high honors from the University of Kentucky and received his law degree from Duke University, where he was a member of the Editorial Board of the Duke Law Journal. He has lectured at ABA and Florida Bar seminars on such topics as:

  • Commercial leases
  • Boundary law
  • Foreign investment in U.S. real estate
  • Basic real estate transactions
  • Advanced real estate law
  • Ethical considerations in real estate transactions

He is the past-President of The Florida Bar Foundation, a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, the 2017-2018 Chair of the Florida Bar Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section, the recipient of its 2008 Lifetime Professionalism Award and 2009 Service Award, has chaired the land trust committees of The Florida Bar and the American Bar Association and has served as vice-chair of the Partnerships and LLCs committee of the Americian Bar Association. He was elected a fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and has been selected for inclusion in both Florida Super Lawyers magazine and Florida Trend magazine’s “Legal Elite”.
